Joybugs are small, caterpillar-like creatures that appear in The Tale of Peanut. They live mainly in grasslands and forested areas, such as Leguma Province.

Joybugs have a constantly cheery nature and are capable of bringing joy to others. They produce a special type of silk that can bring feelings of great comfort to those who feel it.
Etymology
Joybug is a combination of joy, referencing Joybugs' constant happiness, and bug.
