Luno
Luno is the titular main protagonist of the Luno-Kun series, and debuts as the main protagonist of Luno-Kun's Adventure. He is one of the most iconic characters in the Loonari-Verse.
Appearance
Luno is a small, bright-skinned person who looks like a seven-year-old. He has short, periwinkle hair and glistening blue eyes. He wears a light purple shirt with a crescent moon decoration and shorts. He also has dark purple sneakers. On his head, there is a light purple beanie with another moon on it.
Personality
Luno is an easygoing, happy-go-lucky kid who is well known for his love of adventures. He tends to use the "smell of adventure" as his compass, going wherever it takes him. Although he isn't very mentally developed, he can still get the job done. Having to take care of himself at 7, he can be very responsible when the time calls. Despite his nature, he missed his family a lot before the events of [SECRET].
Backstory
Luno was born on the moon to Selena and Artem, the queen and king of the Moon Kingdom, and their enormous family. As his birth was prophesized, he was given the title of Prince of the Moon. One day, Luno's parents gifted him with a Moonrang for his birthday. The Moonrang was a special boomerang in the shape of the crescent moon. Luno loved this gift, and would treasure it greatly in the future. It took him some time to get his throwing right, but just when the got the hang of it, a portal suddenly appeared in the sky and sucked him away. Luno's family naturally grew worried, and would miss him dearly. Meanwhile, Luno had fallen from the sky into a strange land called Mettopia. Here he met Princess Sunny and her people. Sunny welcomed Luno and offered him a place in her home. Over time, she and Luno became friends.

Luno-Kun's Adventure
Luno is the main protagonist of Luno-Kun's Adventure. In the intro cutscene, he is first seen taking a walk with Princess Sunny. When Handy Hatterson suddenly appears and traps Princess Sunny in a cage of psychic energy, Luno is tasked with retrieving the Eight Handhat Charms in order to save the princess. Luno then runs off into the Fancy Forest, apparently overwhelmed by this, and the Moon Fairy appears from out of his backpack. She too is intimidated by the adventure Luno's about to take until he reassures her. Luno presents a map to the her before setting off on his adventure.

- Previously, long before the game was even developed, Luno had a much simpler appearance.
- He used to have a more generic appearence, being a blue-and-purple-colored boy with floating limbs.
- His name was originally supposed to be "Runori-San," but it was swapped out for his current name.
- Luno bears a striking resemblance to Loonarin-San, but the relationship between the two, if any, is unknown.
- Luno has been confirmed to appear in Loonari-Verse: Cosmic Campaign.
