Seasonflower
Seasonflowers are a species of half-plant, half-human creatures that live in the Novella-Verse.
Biology
Seasonflowers are characterized by their human appearance, their leafy hair and clothes, and their ability to customize their leaves and outfits at will. They use three basic forms depending on the current season, although this is mainly due to them changing their appearance as an adaptation or for fun. Seasonflowers are capable of photosynthesizing, sharing nutrients with other plants, growing fruits, flowers, and plants on their bodies, along with a special type of flower, called a "Seasonbloom," which they use as part of reproduction.
Younger Seasonflowers tend to be much smaller than adults and often have a larger head-to-body ratio. They are very playful and are usually seen playing tag or basking in the sun. They rely less on photosynthesis than adults, as it doesn't provide nearly enough energy for their highly active behaviors, and more on eating normal food. They are also capable of growing smaller plants and fruits on their bodies, but cannot yet grow Seasonblooms.
Due to being part-plant, Seasonflowers are incredibly sensitive to air and water quality and can detect forms of pollution from miles away. Additionally, pollution weakens them significantly, and it can take them weeks, if not months, to recover.
