Sporenadoes are small creatures in the Loonari-Verse.

Appearance

Sporenadoes are small, spore-like creatures that resemble balls of fluff. They have white bodies, and beady black eyes.

When swarming, Sporenadoes form a large, tornado-like creature with swirly eyes and a large mouth with sharp "teeth".

Biology

Sporenadoes are preyed upon by many other creatures. If a Sporenado is in trouble, it calls for help using a special chemical that other Sporenadoes can sense from miles away. The Sporenadoes then rush in to help. Sporenadoes can ward off attackers by spraying pollen in the face of the enemy. The reinforcements can even spray pollen in unison if the threat is not initially deterred.

However, if a Sporenado is pushed over its absolute limit, it will spray large amounts of its chemical to call for many reinforcements. The additional Sporenadoes cluster together with the first Sporenado and secrete their own amounts of the chemical. This continues until millions, if not billions of Sporenadoes are clustered together into their Swarm Form, and become extremely powerful.

Etymology

Sporenado is a combination of spore and tornado, referring to the appearances of Sporenado's Regular and Swarm Forms.

Trivia

  • Sporenado's ability to cluster together to change into their "Swarm Form" is inspired by the Pokémon Wishiwashi's Schooling Ability.
