Luno vs. Attire is a tower defense game inspired by the Plants vs. Zombies series. It involves the eponymous moon boy fighting with his embodied thoughts and emotions against clothing-based enemies.

Story

Princess Sunny was at the mall one day looking for new clothes for Luno. Without warning, the clothes came to life and kidnapped her, taking her away to Handy Hatterson, her posh, psychic, abhorrent admirer. In this scenario, the Handhat Kingdom has united up with other clothing-based kingdoms to kill Luno, collectively known as the Attire Empire, hence the game’s name. Before Luno can anything about it, the Handhat Gang surrounds his house. The sheer stress of the situation, combined with his magical moon heritage (his family lives on the moon), brings his thoughts and emotions to life to fend off the Gang. Now with a new army at his disposal, he’s ready to take on the Empire and save the princess... again.

Gameplay

Like the other Plants vs. Zombies games, the player places down Luno’s emotions and thoughts, simply referred to as Lunotions, to fend off incoming Attires. Each Lunotion requires a certain amount of Moontal Energy to be able to place them down, and each one requires a certain amount of time before they can be placed down again.

Attire Divisions

Each Attire belongs to one or more divisions, which are categorized by what type of clothing they’re based on.

  1. Handhat Gang: Headwear
  2. Conchoker Corps: Neckwear
  3. Achilles Cohort: Footwear
  4. Feminal Body: Skirts and Dresses
  5. Pantaloon Party: Pants and Legwear
  6. Topshelf Troop: Tops
  7. Underthere Swarm: Underwear
  8. Coverall Crowd: Coats
  9. Tacticom Patrol: Armor
  10. Wildjangle Horde: Accessories

Lunotions may have their own categorization in the future, but for now this is all I’ve got.

Poofer

Like the regular Shovel in the PvZ games, the Poofer removes which ever unwanted Lunotion the player desires as a result of misclicking or change of strategy.

Lawnmowers

Hey, even kids need their surroundings cleaned. Lawnmowers are a defensive item that are placed at the very back of every lane and serves as the last line of defense. Attires that trigger one will cause the it to drive down the lane and decimate all the Attires in that lane, as well as destroy any grid items. They cannot respawn normally, so players will have to make sure that they are only used in emergency situations.

Currencies

Moontal Energy

Moontal Energy acts like sun as it is the main currency of the game. In most worlds, it falls down in the form of thought bubbles. Starting off with only 50, players will need to gather more energy through any that falls through the sky during day levels. No mental energy falls in the night levels, since Luno is asleep in those times.

Metcoin

Metcoin is the secondary currency of the game and can be obtained through defeating Attires, beating levels and earning money bags, plus other ways to be announced. Metcoin allows players to buy things from Inyahed’s Third Eye Shop, like new Lunotions or upgrades for certains.

Game Modes

Story Mode: The main game mode of the game. The player adventures through Luno’s world and pushes back against the Attire Empire to save Princess Sunny.

Minigames: Unlocked after _____. Allows the player to play small challenges if they feel tired of Adventure mode.

More to be added.
